The city of Balchik is a well-known sea and spa resort located in the north part of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. You will find many interesting places to visit in this beautiful town such as the 3-mile long sandy beach with a nice yacht club, Queen Maria’s palace, the magnificent botanical garden which is the biggest in the Balkans and many more.

At two miles east of the city is Tuzlata, a place known for its healing mud, which is highly recommended for bone associated illnesses. The place is turned into a large spa resort and balneological center with many campings, bungalows, hotels, recreation facilities, etc.
There are also hot mineral springs in Balchik region and in the city itself which have been used for internal cure from long time ago.

The city is located less than 30 miles away from Varna and its international airport and within 15 minutes by car there are some other great sea resorts such as Albena, Kavarna (with its annual international summer pop&rock festival), etc.
