Masterpieces of Architecture and Art along the Tracks of History

Rila Monastery (10th c.) included in the UNESCO List of World Cultural Heritage. The monastery complex comprises church and museum with its lavish collection of precious old manuscripts, icons, jewelry, masterpieces of woodcarving, an ethnographic wealth of exhibitions.

The museum town of Melnik, located amidst the fantastic scenery of high sandstone pyramids. Melnik is renowned with it's wine. Near by is Rojhen Monastery, built in 12th c. in a fortress-like style above strange stone formations, precipices and pyramids.

Bansko is unique little town with cobblestone streets, traditional stone houses and richly endowed churches create a unique ambience.

Batchkovo Monastery (11th c.) - one of the richest galleries of the old Bulgarian art with its exquisite murals and medieval icons. Plovdiv is a city with 3,000 years long history. Old Plovdiv is famous with the Ethnographic museum and the ancient Roman Amphitheater.

Etara is an open-air ethnographic museum and the Dryanovo Monastery, located picturesquely in the Dryanovo river gorge.

The 14th c. Troyan Monastery with its beautiful church, spacious residential wings and a tower with belfry.
